Mobility in common
Halfway between construction machines and private cars, the industrial vehicle is the pivotal place where Optorg focuses on the recovery of its automobile business at the beginning of the 90’s. This is subsequently extended to transport, both private and collective, putting the group in a position to adopt a global approach to mobility in Africa.
BEAUTIFUL TRUCK
At the outset, the idea was to provide a complete offer to building site operators but this results in Optorg boosting its car activity. In 1992, a contract with Mercedes-Benz is signed to distribute lorries, and is subsequently extended to private cars.

In the middle of the 2000’s, deals are made with other industrial vehicle constructors (Fuso, JAC, Hyundai, Isuzu). Tractafric is thus able to offer African operators, solutions for all their needs.
With a partnership across 23 countries, that is to say half of the African continent, Tractafric Motors is one of the biggest independent distributors of Mercedes-Benz lorries in the world today.

A STRUCTURING PARTNERSHIP
In 1992, Tractafric becomes the official distributor for Mercedes-Benz industrial vehicles in several countries. The partnership becomes increasingly important over the years.
THE NEW ERA OF THE PRIVATE CAR
The beginning of the 2000’s sees growth in demand for private cars of the highest standards. Optorg responds with a full and qualitative offer.
COMFORT, PERFORMANCE, SAFETY
This is the direction taken by Tractafric Motors in order to diversify its offer to private consumers. Vehicles made by the best constructors offer sophisticated equipment (ABS, airbag, etc), the upgrading of the range also applies to services offered: guarantee, after-sales-service, optimal delivery deadlines… Being an official distributor enables Tractafric to offer quality services.
A WIDE RANGE
From 2007, the distribution of private vehicles diversifies: Mercedes-Benz, Ford, Renault, Nissan, Hyundai, Mazda, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Mitsubishi, BMW, Audi. Tractafric also develops Aftermarket products (tyres, oil, batteries, accessories…) in order to provide full service to users.
BUSES AND MUCH MORE
The bus is a preferred transport option in a country where part of the population does not have access to private cars. From 2011, Tractafric develops its provision of public transport vehicles.
VITAL
On the African continent, the bus is a vital means of transport, with multiple uses: town buses, surburban buses and long-distance buses. The latter travel thousands of kilometers on rough roads and tracks, filled with many passengers and varied cargo, all making for very specific conditions requiring adapted solutions!

SHAPES AND SIZES
In 2011, MCV entrusts Tractafric with the distribution of its buses in Cameroon, Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Democratic Republic of Congo and Western Africa. 2010's sees a multiplication of partnerships, extending the Tractafric offer from minibuses to 80-seater buses: Evobus, Fuso, Hyundai.
